The Colby Cheese Days Race is dedicated to the memory of Lt. Jamison Kampmeyer who was killed in the line of duty as a member of the Colby Fire Department. Jamison, 34, was a loving husband, father to 3 young boys, Firefighter, EMT, SWAT team member, and a Deputy with the Marathon County Sheriff’s Dept. Jamison was also an avid runner who participated in the 10k run during Cheese Days for many years. Jamison embodied the spirit of giving in both his professional and personal life.
