Event Description

Join us for our first Lite up 4 Life 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Lite Run for Kids.  The event will take place as part of the Relay for Life of Langlade County in Antigo, WI. The proceeds from the run will benefit the American Cancer Society.  The American Cancer  Society is the only nationwide, community based, voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer, preventing cancer and  saving lives through research, education, advocacy and service.  The course will start at Peaceful Valley Park and end back at the Park that will be aglow with Luminaria and Solar Lights dedicated to the memory of those lost to cancer, honor those who are in the fight, survivors and the wonderful caregivers.  Kids will be treated to an ice cream sundae bar after their run and 5K participants will have the opportunity to socialize and enjoy refreshments during the recognition ceremony.  Please contact the race director if you would like to purchase a luminaria or solar light for the track.  The luminaria and lights are personalized in memory or in honor of the person of your choice. (Donations for luminaria and lights is $5.00 each)

Kids 1 Mile Fun Run ….8:30 pm
5K Lite Up 4 Life Run/Walk (Timed)……9:00 pm    Award ceremony following Luminaria ceremony which starts at 10pm

Everyone that signs up will be eligible for individual awards.
Overall male and female finishers, 1st.  2nd.  3rd will be recognized.
Age Group Award Categories:
14 and under.          **all age groups will be male and female divisions
80 and over
Sign up as a ‘team’ of four to win a special ‘Lite’ prize.  The sum of the 4 team member’s elapsed times will be added together to determine finishing order.  Designate your team members when you register.
