The 2012 Shark Shuffle will be held on Sunday, May 20. Registration and t-shirt pick up start at 12:00 noon. Kids Race at 12:30 and the 5K Run/Walk starts at 1:00 pm. Proceeds help fund tuition, technology, school supplies, fieldtrips and other educational experiences for the students. Stick around after the race and enjoy all of the family fun, including bounce house, food, dunk tank, face painting and more!

The 3rd annual Happy Camper 5K Trail Run is a beautiful and challenging course through the trails of Camp Luther, just north of Three Lakes, WI. Lace up your shoes and strecth you legs for this early season run. You will run by two lakes and up and down many hills on this exciting, winding course. A Kid's Fun Run will follow the main race. Awards for top male, female and in each age category. Proceeds will benefit the Camp Luther Campership Fund.

The SMART Run/Walk is hosted by the Cedarburg Education Foundation. The funds are used to advance the technology needs of the Cedarburg School District. The SMART Run/Walk is a family event that can be run or walked. For runners, it is an official 5k race course and we have added a 10K option this year as well as professional chip timing of your race. Start and finish lines are at Cedar Creek Park in Cedarburg, WI. The Children's 1/2 Mile Fun Run will be held at Cedar Creek Park and will include awards for all finishers!

The Rockin' Tomahawk 5K/Half Marathon and I Mile Fun Run is a professionally timed event that is a fairly flat and fast race suitable for all abilities. Both races will start out at SARA Park, located on the beautiful Wisconsin river in downtown Tomahawk. You will run through historic downtown Tomahawk as well as along the shores of Lake Mohawksin and across the Wisconsin river. Both courses consist of paved roads and wide packed trails, making this race unique and picturesque.

The Half Marathon will feature music throughout the course to entertain as well as to keep you motivated and " Rockin' " the entire 13.1 miles. At completion, back at SARA Park, entertainment will be provided at no cost. Also many food/beverage choices and other family activities will be available. So please block off the day and come join us in Tomahawk for what will sure to be a action packed and fun filled day of running and music.

Come enjoy all of the festivities at the 2012 Aquafest in Rice Lake WI as well as the 2012 Aquafest Run. Choose from a 6K or 10K run, or 2 Mile walk. For elementary age kids there will be a 1/2 mile Kids Play Fun Run. All participants of the Fun Run receive a medal.

Help us support the fight against cancer through our Tough Enough to Wear Pink Campaign by hitting the streets of Merrill for a family fun event. The race will start and end at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds and wind through the surrounding residential neighborhood. After the race be a part of the excitement of the Wisconsin River Pro Rodeo when the action heats up in the arena with an afternoon of bucking broncos, devious steers, and of course, dangerous bull riding.

Northwoods Summer Thunder Motorcycle Rally is organized by the Minocqua Area Chamber of Commerce. This two day motorcycle rally is based out of Torpy Park in downtown Minocqua. Three Fun Run routes will allow riders to explore the sites and scenery of the area.

Register before May 1, 2012 for a $5 discount on each ride or a special bonus if you register for all three rides. After May 1^st each Fun Run Booklet will be $15.00. Before May 1, 2012 we are offering a special on-line fee of $10.00 per booklet, or $30.00 for all 3 booklets plus a Rally T-shirt.

: Bear Cupboard Run - 5K and Half Marathon, 7/21/12

The Lakeland Pantry will sponsor its 3rd annual Bear Cupboard Run on Saturday, July 21. NEW in 2012 will be the addition of a HALF MARATHON. There will also be a 5K Run and Walk, and 1K Cubby Run for kids 10 and under. All Cubby Run participants will receive a Cubby Pack and ribbon.

The 5K Run will start at 9:00 am. The race will start and finish at Torpy Park and run on the Bearskin Trail. An untimed 5K Walk will also start at 9:00 am and follow the same trail as the 5K runners. The Cubbies race will start at 8:15 am, at the Bearskin Trailhead.

The Half Marathon will start at 7:30 am and be run on the Bearskin Trail, starting south of Minocqua, near Goodnow and finishing at Torpy Park. A shuttle will leave Torpy Park at 6:30 am and bring runners to the starting point. Half Marathon participants must be 12 years old on the day of the race.

The first 400 registered runner/walkers will be guaranteed commemorative t-shirts and survival bags. The 5K and Half Marathon runs will be professionally chip timed.

On-line pre-register until noon, Thursday, July 19, or register in person at Torpy Park Pavillion Friday evening from 5:00 - 7:00 and morning of the race starting at 6:00 am. Enjoy music, food and activities at Torpy Park before and after the racing events. All proceeds go to the Lakeland Pantry and Food for Kidz.

The 3rd Annual, See-Me-Tri, Minocqua Triathlon will be held on August 11, 2012. World-class triathletes say this is one of the most scenic venues they have ever raced on. The Minocqua Tri will again be held at the beautiful and scenic CLEAR LAKE PARK AND PICNIC AREA. Clear Lake Park and Picnic Area is located 1.5 miles east of Hwy 47 on County Road J, in Woodruff, WI.

THIS YEAR'S RACE WILL BE LIMITED TO 350 PARTICIPANTS. SO REGISTER NOW.

Participants can again choose from two race distances. The "Sprint" course will be comprised of a 500 meter swim, a 20K (12.4 M) bike and a 5K run. Or you can challenge yourself a bit more on the Olympic course, comprised of an 1500 meter swim, a 40K (24.5 M) mile bike and 10K run.

The swim is held in beautiful, crystal clear, Clear Lake. The bike course is along the bike lane on Cty Roads J & E and will wind along the Rainbow Flowage and through wooded back roads. Both run courses will be on the historic & scenic Raven Trail, with the 10K course finishing along wooded, Woodruff and Hatchery roads. Each portion of the race course truly displays the beauty of the Northwoods.

Friday night race registration and packet pick up will be held at Chequamegon Adventure Company, located at 8576 Hwy 51, Minocqua. Enjoy the refreshments, music and party atmosphere as well as pick up tri racing tips from our guest professional triathlete. This race was developed with the novice runners in mind. It will be a fairly flat course. There will be no limits on registration and the entry fee is small compared to most races. Thus, the “No Frills” name. You’ll get a Medal for finishing, but not much else. After all, “IT’S ALL ABOUT THE RACE”! That’s not to say experienced runners won’t enjoy this race also. We believe it will be a fast course and are in the process of having it certified so that it will be a Boston Qualifier. This event will offer a last chance race before Boston registration in the middle of September. The start is at Nokomis Community Park on HWY L at 7AM on Sunday September 2,2012 and the finish at The Bearskin Trailhead behind the Minocqua Post Office

The 18th annual Wolfman Triathlon, presented by Wolf River Territory, will be held on Saturday, September 8th. The Wolfman Tri consists of three segments: 3 mile whitewater paddle...13 mile mountain bike ride...and 3.5 mile rugged trail run. This year's race will only be for solo and tandem racers....no relay teams. Race size is limited to 300 starts (a tandem is considered one start).

: Rump Roast Run - 9/29/2012

The Lakeland Rotary's Annual Rump Roast Run and Walk is held the morning of the annual Beef-A-Rama Saturday, in beautiful, Minocqua WI. Both the 5k and 10k courses begin just north of the Minocqua Veterans Park. The course hugs the shore of beautiful Lake Minocqua as participants head to the north. Both courses give way to wooded lanes and lead eventually to the Bearskin Trail, a former railroad bed. There, the 5k course turns left and brings runners & walkers over the old trestle to the finish line. 10k runners turn right and head down the Bearskin Trail before turning back to the trestle. A children's 1-mile race rounds out the events and an awards ceremony caps off the morning with plaques for the winners and a 16 - 18 lb beef roasts for the top male and female finishers in the 5K and 10K.

Calf Mile kids race begins at 8:15. 5K and 10K races start at 9:00 AM.

This year we are going "green". Register online without incurring additional online fee charges! Online registrations will be open until noon on Thursday, Sept 27. After noon on Thursday, Sept 27 you will need to register in person and the registration fee will increase by $2.00.

After the race, stay and enjoy Beef-A-Rama one of Wisconsin's wackier food festivals, inlcuding the Parade of Beef.

Come join the fun at Northcentral Technical College, celebrating Timberwolf Days and their homecoming celebration. As part of the all-day celebration a 5K and 1 Mile kids run will be held at 9:00. This is the 1st Annual run to benefit the Columbia County Humane Society. This run is named after our late mascot Booker; its in memory of him. Check-in on race day opens at 7:30 am. This is a timed-chip event. Refreshments will be available before and after the event. Please come out and support the humane society and have a good last run before winter hits the great state of Wisconsin. Lets makes some great memories.

We ask that you do not bring your dogs for the event, since they are not allowed in the park and is not safe on the run for them.
